Charles Fork Lake, home of the annual Tour de Lake offers recreation for the entire family.  This stocked 72 acre lake is located on 1700 acres and surrounded by 25 miles of hiking and bicycling trails.  Primitive camping is also available.  Non-gasoline powered boats are welcome.

Heritage Park in Spencer is a step back in time!  The park boasts a restored 1920 school house, early 1900's oil derrick, a Depot Museum, B & O Caboose, Community Building, and home to Civil War and Veterans Memorial.

Roane County Barn Quilt Trail currently has 37 barn quilts located along a quilt trail that will take visitors on a scenic tour of the county. The WVU Roane County Extension Service, and the Roane County Economic Development Authority and 911 Center are developing a trail map that will guide drivers along country roads to each quilt location where they will discover some of Roane County’s beautiful scenery.  For addresses of current barn quilts along the trail, click here.
