Charles Fork Lake, home of the annual Tour de Lake offers recreation for the entire family.  This stocked 72 acre lake is located on 1700 acres and surrounded by 25 miles of hiking and bicycling trails.  Primitive camping is also available.  Non-gasoline powered boats are welcome.


Step back into time while visiting the Heritage Park in Spencer.  The park boasts a restored 1920 school house, early 1900's oil derrick, a Depot Museum, B & O Caboose, Community Building, and home to Civil War and Veterans Memorial.


Experience the elegant circa of 1925 with a visit to the McIntosh Manson, formerly the Heck Mansion, located just outside of Spencer on Rt. 14.  The mansion is on the National Register of Historic Places and is open for public tours by appointment.

Take in a movie at Robey Theatre, the longest continuously operating movie house in the United States (since 1907) and is listed on the National Registry of Historical Places.

Give your taste buds a sensation at the wine tasting room of Roane Vineyards and take a tour of their facility located on Reedyville Road.  Tours available by appointment only, (304) 927-1939.

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon playing a round of 9 holes at the Roane County Country Club located on Reedyville / Golf Course Road adjacent to Roane Vineyards.

If you like antiques and collectibles, then you need to visit Spencer's Antique Mall Arts and Collectibles located on Main Street in Spencer.
